About the Opportunity

Join a leading Building Automation and Energy Management contractor as a Senior Controls Installation Technician based in the greater Baltimore, MD area. This is a hands-on leadership position overseeing the installation, wiring, and startup of Building Automation Systems (BAS) across the Maryland, Washington D.C., and Virginia region.

This role is ideal for a skilled technician with field leadership experience who enjoys mentoring junior team members, ensuring high-quality installation work, and maintaining safe, efficient project execution. The position offers competitive hourly pay, overtime, end-of-year bonuses, and a company vehicle with gas card (after 30 days).

Position Details

• Title: Sr. Controls Installation Technician
• Location: Baltimore, MD (Greater DMV Area)
• Compensation: $40.00 – $50.00/hr (Depending on Experience)
• Bonus: End-of-year bonus based on company performance and team contribution

• Travel: Regional client sites (MD, D.C., VA)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and oversee field installation of Building Automation Systems (BAS) from start to finish
• Guide and mentor junior technicians to ensure efficient and safe project execution
• Participate in pre-project planning and coordination meetings
• Install conduit, cabling, and control wiring to support BAS equipment and sensors
• Mount and terminate controllers, sensors, and field devices per engineering specifications
• Use test instruments to verify wiring integrity and proper terminations
• Review, troubleshoot, and resolve wiring or device-related issues
• Collaborate with engineering and project management teams to ensure adherence to design standards
• Provide support for both day and night shifts depending on project schedules
• Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and company quality standards

Ideal Candidate

• Proven experience as a Sr. Controls Installation Technician or similar field leadership role
• Comprehensive understanding of BAS installation, wiring, and device commissioning
• Ability to lead installation crews and coordinate multiple project tasks simultaneously
• Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
• Excellent communication and team collaboration abilities
• Flexible to work night shifts and occasional weekends
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and productive job site
