Sr. BAS Controls Technician to support complex controls projects across the Dallas metropolitan area.
This role involves high-level BAS programming, troubleshooting, commissioning, and system design for commercial, institutional, and mission-critical environments.

About the Opportunity:
The Sr. BAS Controls Technician will take a leadership role in the design, configuration, programming, start-up, and commissioning of complex building automation systems.
This position requires deep technical experience in Tridium/Niagara, Distech, or Siemens Desigo systems.
You will support air and water systems, manage system integrations, develop programming from scratch, and ensure seamless project execution.
Key Responsibilities:
- Program, configure, and commission BAS/DDC systems (Tridium required; Siemens Desigo or Distech highly preferred)
- Design and configure complex building automation systems based on project requirements
- Develop sequences of operation (SOO), control diagrams, BOMs, and network layouts
- Perform system start-up, testing, troubleshooting, and optimization for HVAC systems
- Conduct point-to-point checkouts and follow commissioning protocols
- Create system graphics, databases, and related control system documentation
- Diagnose, modify, and repair existing BAS programs for improved performance
- Oversee installation teams during start-up and system implementation
- Work closely with mechanical contractors, engineers, end users, and building owners
- Provide clear communication and reporting to internal teams and customers
- Collaborate in a team-driven, project-focused environment
Ideal Candidate Profile:
- 5+ years as a BAS Controls Technician or similar controls engineering role
- Strong programming experience in Tridium Niagara (required)
- Experience with Siemens Desigo or Distech is a major plus
- Advanced knowledge of HVAC systems, control strategies, and mechanical fundamentals
- Ability to design, configure, and commission BAS systems from the ground up
- Strong understanding of wiring, terminations, and control network architecture
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills
- Strong written and verbal communication abilities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a field operations team
