Controls Account Executive – Central Kansas – Up to $85,000 Base + Commission + 100% Paid Medical
About the Opportunity:
A top-tier building automation contractor is seeking a motivated Controls Account Executive to support its continued growth in Central Kansas. This remote-based sales role is ideal for a candidate with strong HVAC or BAS experience who can hit the ground running and is comfortable being on the road frequently. You'll work with facility managers, general contractors, and business owners to develop building automation projects from start to finish, backed by one of the region's most respected integrators.
Position Details:
- Title: Controls Account Executive
- Location: Remote – Based in Central Kansas (Manhattan or Topeka area preferred)
- Status: Full-Time | Field-Based | Travel Required
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience as a BAS Account Executive, Sales Engineer, or similar position
- Solid understanding of HVAC and/or Building Automation Systems
- Proven ability to manage and grow client relationships
- Capable of independently performing site walks, gathering specs, and building proposals
- Strong lead generation, sales strategy, and pipeline management skills
- Ability to work closely with owners, engineers, and project teams to develop scopes
- Self-motivated and entrepreneurial with excellent communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage existing accounts and develop new business throughout Central Kansas
- Conduct frequent customer visits, job walks, and consultations
- Lead proposal development, including estimating and scope definition
- Create comprehensive sales packages tailored to customer needs
- Collaborate with internal teams to deliver client-focused solutions
- Drive revenue through consultative selling and long-term client engagement
Compensation & Benefits:
- Base Salary: Up to $85,000 (DOE)
- Commission: Lucrative structure – OTE up to $150,000+ after Year 1
