A growing mechanical contractor is hiring a Travelling Controls Technician based in St. Louis, MO. If you're experienced with BAS systems, controls programming, and hands-on commissioning—and are open to extended project-based travel—this is a strong opportunity to apply your expertise in a dynamic setting.

Position Details:

• Title: Travelling Controls Technician
• Location: Based in St. Louis, MO
• Travel: 75–90% Nationwide (flights, hotels, and per diem covered weekly)
• Compensation: Up to $90,000 DOE + Discretionary Bonus

Responsibilities:

• Install, test, and commission Building Automation Systems (BAS) across multiple project sites
• Troubleshoot and modify existing control system programming (Delta, Tridium preferred)
• Perform point-to-point checks, functional testing, and full system commissioning
• Support start-up and termination of HVAC and controls-related equipment
• Communicate effectively with clients, general contractors, and internal project teams
• Work collaboratively with other controls and mechanical staff to ensure on-time project delivery

Ideal Candidate:

• 3+ years in a Controls Technician or similar BAS-focused role
• Experienced with Tridium, Delta, and/or Johnson FX systems
• Skilled in troubleshooting and rewriting control sequences
• Comfortable with 2-week to multi-month field assignments nationwide
• Based in the St. Louis area (required)
