BAS Controls Technician – Long Island, NY – $90,000–$105,000 (DOE)

A well-established mechanical and automation contractor serving the New York metro area is seeking an experienced BAS Controls Technician to support projects across the 5 boroughs and Long Island. Position:

• Title: BAS Controls Technician
• Location: Deer Park, NY / Greater Long Island Area
• Territory: New York City Metro – 5 Boroughs
• Status: Full-Time / On-Site

Ideal Candidate:

• 5–10+ years of Building Automation/DDC experience
• Hands-on experience with Delta Controls – required
• Familiarity with JCI, Siemens, Honeywell, Andover, or similar systems – preferred
• Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset

Key Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot Building Automation Systems (BAS) control issues
• Perform commissioning protocols and point-to-point equipment checkouts
• Work alongside field staff on controls installation, programming, and equipment startup
• Test equipment onsite or remotely to validate system functionality
• Create and revise control programs as needed
• Integrate third-party systems using BACnet, Modbus, etc.
• Diagnose and modify existing BAS software configurations
• Ensure client systems are compliant with updates and security protocols
• Collaborate with owners, end users, and general contractors on technical issues and progress

Offered Compensation & Benefits:

• Base Salary: $90,000–$105,000 (Depending on Experience)
