A well-established mechanical and automation contractor serving the New York metro area is seeking an experienced BAS Controls Technician to support projects across the 5 boroughs and Long Island. Position:
- Title: BAS Controls Technician
- Location: Deer Park, NY / Greater Long Island Area
- Territory: New York City Metro – 5 Boroughs
- Status: Full-Time / On-Site
Ideal Candidate:
- 5–10+ years of Building Automation/DDC experience
- Hands-on experience with Delta Controls – required
- Familiarity with JCI, Siemens, Honeywell, Andover, or similar systems – preferred
- Strong communication skills and team-oriented mindset
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshoot Building Automation Systems (BAS) control issues
- Perform commissioning protocols and point-to-point equipment checkouts
- Work alongside field staff on controls installation, programming, and equipment startup
- Test equipment onsite or remotely to validate system functionality
- Create and revise control programs as needed
- Integrate third-party systems using BACnet, Modbus, etc.
- Diagnose and modify existing BAS software configurations
- Ensure client systems are compliant with updates and security protocols
- Collaborate with owners, end users, and general contractors on technical issues and progress
Offered Compensation & Benefits:
- Base Salary: $90,000–$105,000 (Depending on Experience)
