BAS Controls Technician – Houston, TX – $30–$45/hr + Benefits – Company Vehicle – HVAC Automation & Controls
About the Opportunity:
An established HVAC controls and automation firm is seeking an experienced BAS Controls Technician to support projects across the Greater Houston area. This role is ideal for a field-ready technician who is proficient in start-up, programming, and commissioning of building automation systems in critical environments such as laboratories, hospitals, and industrial facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform start-up, programming, and commissioning of building automation and HVAC control systems
- Deliver timely and professional execution of assigned projects on-site
- Provide technical support to the controls and mechanical service teams
- Coordinate subcontractors and support the site superintendent as needed
- Manage and document project submittals, O&M manuals, and closeout deliverables
- Conduct project reviews, site inspections, and contribute to weekly production meetings
- Prepare and maintain job documentation and cost projections
- Enforce safety standards and ensure compliance with company protocols
- Communicate clearly with internal teams and customers to resolve field issues
Ideal Candidate:
- 5+ years of hands-on experience with BAS and HVAC controls systems
- Niagara AX or N4 Certification is required
- Experience with BACnet programming is a plus
- Familiarity with systems such as Distech, Phoenix Controls, Aircuity, and Flow Controls
- Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
Compensation & Benefits:
- Hourly Pay: $30.00 – $45.00/hr (Depending on Experience)
