Position Details:
- Title: Controls Service Technician
- Location: Pasadena, MD (Territory includes MD, D.C., VA)
- Schedule: Typically 40 hours/week | Overtime Eligible
- Status: Full-Time
Ideal Candidate:
- Experience as a BAS Technician, Controls Service Tech, or similar
- Comfortable with product lines such as: Tridium, JCI Facility Explorer, Honeywell, Metasys, or Trane Tracer
- Experience troubleshooting BAS systems and modifying programs
- Familiar with commissioning protocols and point-to-point checkouts
- Proficient in diagnosing system issues, remote monitoring, and providing technical customer support
- Excellent communication with end users, contractors, and project teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventative maintenance and respond to service calls
- Troubleshoot, repair, and modify existing BAS systems
- Monitor building automation systems remotely and onsite
- Coordinate equipment needs with internal teams
- Assist in commissioning/start-up activities for new installations
- Propose upgrades and performance enhancements to clients
- Train clients on system usage and maintain detailed service documentation
