Controls Service Technician – Winston-Salem, NC – Up to $40/hr + Bonus + Vehicle

About the Opportunity:

A leading mechanical HVAC and controls contractor is seeking a skilled Controls Service Technician to join their growing service team in the Winston-Salem, NC area. This opportunity offers excellent compensation, year-end bonus potential, and a company vehicle. The technician will play a key role in servicing and supporting building automation systems across healthcare, commercial, and industrial clients.

Position Details:

• Title: Controls Service Technician
• Location: Winston-Salem, NC (territory includes 1-hour radius)
• Status: Full-Time | In-field

Ideal Candidate:

• Minimum 5 years of experience in BAS or HVAC Controls service
• Hands-on experience with Tridium/Niagara systems – required
• Proficient in commissioning, service, and troubleshooting of DDC controls
• Skilled in controls programming (from scratch or rewriting sequences)
• Ability to read wiring diagrams, perform point-to-point checks, and ensure code compliance
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills with customers and internal teams

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, troubleshoot, program, and service BAS and HVAC controls systems
• Perform commissioning protocols and startup procedures
• Maintain, modify, and upgrade control programs and databases
• Conduct onsite and remote testing of building automation equipment
• Execute preventative maintenance and respond to service calls
• Ensure systems are kept up to date with software and security requirements
• Collaborate with project and service teams to resolve technical issues
