We are seeking a skilled Controls Service Engineer to join a global automation leader with over 30 years of experience in rubber compounding control systems. Position Details:

• Title: Controls Service Engineer
• Location: Oakdale, MN
• Status: Full-Time | Field-Based Travel As Needed

Ideal Candidate:

• Bachelor’s in Electrical Engineering (ABET accredited) or equivalent work experience
• 5+ years of progressive controls engineering experience
• Proficient in PLC programming (Ladder Logic, Structured Text, Function Block Diagram)
• Hands-on experience with Allen-Bradley, Siemens, and Mitsubishi PLCs
• Skilled in HMI/SCADA systems including Allen-Bradley FT View ME/SE
• Ability to create P&I diagrams and control panel designs using CAD
• Excellent troubleshooting, communication, and documentation skills
• Authorized to work in the U.S. and able to pass background/drug screening

Key Responsibilities:

• Support, troubleshoot, and maintain PLC hardware and software for clients
• Travel to customer sites as needed for service, training, or commissioning
• Provide technical support and expertise on automation products and systems
• Maintain and update documentation for PLC systems (wiring diagrams, schematics, manuals)
• Mentor junior engineers and provide on-the-job training
• Assist in preparing estimates for change requests and customer needs
• Conduct training for clients and internal staff on PLC system functionality
