Security Alarm Technician – Weymouth, MA – $30.00–$45.00/hr. (DOE)

This organization is seeking a licensed Security Alarm Technician to support projects in the Weymouth, MA region. Position:

• Title: Security Alarm Technician
• Location: Weymouth, MA
• Territory: Project-Based within the Greater Boston Area
• Status: Full-Time / On-Site
• Clearance: Must be able to obtain Department of Defense clearance and/or MA security certificate of clearance

Ideal Candidate:

• 3+ years of experience as a licensed security technician
• MA Systems Technician “D” license or Journeyman “B” license (or equivalent)
• Experience with commercial fire, intrusion, access control, and video surveillance systems
• Genetec certification – preferred
• Boston F1 or other municipal certifications – preferred

Key Responsibilities:

• Install, service, and inspect fire, intrusion, access, and video surveillance systems
• Troubleshoot and repair systems, including wiring, programming, cleaning detectors, and adjusting cameras
• Conduct routine system inspections and ensure compliance with functional and quality standards
• Communicate with clients to explain system operations and respond to inquiries
• Document installation, inspection, and service activity in company systems
• Identify and define scopes of work for add-ons or change orders
• Provide mentorship to apprentices and maintain project schedule compliance
• Collaborate with team leads to report product performance and field insights
