Project Manager – Building Automation Systems

The Role
We are seeking a Project Manager to serve as the primary leader for planning, executing, and completing sophisticated HVAC control systems projects. In this role, you will manage the full project lifecycle—from hardware design and programming coordination to commissioning and closeout—ensuring every project is delivered on time, on budget, and to the highest safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership: Manage multiple building automation projects from booking to completion, providing clear direction to subcontractors, technicians, and designers.
Financial Oversight: Monitor and control project budgets, manage progress billing, and handle the timely submission of RFIs and change orders to ensure profitability.
Technical Coordination: Ensure submittals, project turnovers, and start-up packages are accurate and align with the high-quality standards established by the firm.
Communication: Serve as the central point of contact for customers and contractors, ensuring 100% satisfaction and maintaining a strong professional image.
Safety & Ethics: Ensure all work follows local, state, and federal legal requirements and adheres to strict site safety protocols.
Qualifications
Experience: Proven experience in project management; knowledge of mechanical contracting or HVAC controls is highly desired.
Technical Aptitude: Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook). Familiarity with Bluebeam, Adobe editing, or AutoCAD is a significant advantage.
Professionalism: Strong work ethic with a "can-do" problem-solving attitude and exceptional listening skills.
Physical & Travel: Ability to commute to jobsites within a 100+ mile radius of the Peoria office; ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs in a construction environment.
Licensure: Must possess a valid driver’s license and maintain an insurable driving record.
