Lead Automation Projects for a Premier Building Controls Contractor
We’re seeking a skilled and experienced Controls Project Manager to oversee and execute complex building automation and temperature control projects. Position Details:
- Title: Controls Project Manager
- Location: Long Island City / Greater Queens, NY
- Salary: $90,000–$125,000 (DOE)
- Status: Full-Time | On-Site | No Overtime
Ideal Candidate:
- 3–10+ years of experience managing Building Automation/DDC projects
- Background as a BAS Project Manager or similar project management role
- Proficient in project planning, budgeting, and execution
- Knowledge of Visio software is a plus
- Strong organizational, communication, and field coordination skills
- Capable of managing multiple projects and directing field teams
- Experience reviewing contract scopes and generating RFIs
- Must pass background check and drug screening
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee and manage all aspects of building automation project execution
- Coordinate equipment orders, change orders, and procurement logistics
- Conduct site inspections and walkthroughs to ensure project alignment
- Develop, update, and maintain project plans and timelines
- Manage subcontractors and field staff; set guidelines and expectations
- Maintain presence on-site to facilitate successful project delivery
- Collaborate with internal teams on pre-book reviews and documentation
- Ensure timely project closeouts and final deliverables
- Attend pre-bid meetings and turnover meetings
Compensation & Benefits:
