About the Opportunity:

An established design-build mechanical contractor is seeking a Controls Project Manager to join their growing team in St. Louis, MO. This role offers the opportunity to manage exciting projects across the U.S. while working for a well-respected organization known for innovation and energy efficiency in the building systems space.

Position Details:

• Title: Controls Project Manager
• Location: St. Louis, MO (with occasional nationwide travel)
• Compensation: $75,000–$100,000 (DOE) + Discretionary Bonus

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and oversee controls projects from initial bid through to closeout
• Manage project scopes, deadlines, financial forecasting, and budgeting
• Coordinate with subcontractors, field technicians, and internal teams
• Assist with estimating, proposals, equipment procurement, and scheduling
• Facilitate client communication and ensure alignment with expectations
• Visit project sites (4–5 trips every 6 months) to ensure smooth execution
• Review contract documentation, create RFIs, and manage change orders
• Direct field labor, enforce project standards, and maintain documentation

Ideal Candidate:

• Experience in a Project Manager role focused on BAS/HVAC controls
• Proficient in reading control specs, managing equipment logistics, and project documentation
• Strong background in coordinating multiple projects simultaneously
• Excellent communication and leadership skills with a proactive mindset
